resilience. Variedades Tere LLC is more than just a store — it is the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and an unshakable belief that with faith and perseverance, dreams can become reality. Today, with two thriving locations in Chamblee and Duluth, Georgia, we are proud to serve our community with authentic products that celebrate style and heritage.
From Humble Beginnings in Mexico
Our story begins in Mexico, where entrepreneurship was a way of life. Growing up, I watched my mother work tirelessly to provide for her family, selling fruits, corn, papaya, and other goods. Her dedication inspired me, and I soon followed in her footsteps, selling sodas and snacks before moving into clothing and shoes.
What I learned early on was that hard work pays off, but resilience pays off even more. That spirit of resilience would carry me forward through every chapter of this business.
The First Steps Toward a Dream
In 2006, I began selling products on my own, though progress was slow. From 2007 to 2013, I worked at Willy’s seven days a week, while raising my children and dreaming of something greater. In 2009, I brought my children from Mexico to the United States — my greatest motivation and the reason I kept pushing forward.
By 2013, I was given the opportunity to start small: selling items like jewelry, hats, perfumes, and phone credits inside a supermarket stall. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was the first real step toward independence.
Building Variedades Tere LLC
In 2016, the opportunity of a lifetime came. I was offered the chance to rent a small space, and with determination, Variedades Tere LLC was born. From Colombian jeans to handbags, perfumes, and clothing, the store quickly grew into a place where people in the community could find quality products at fair prices.
But the journey wasn’t always easy. Between 2017 and 2019, we faced challenges so big that closure seemed like the only option. Still, I refused to give up. With God’s help, the support of my children, and encouragement from the community, we pushed through.
Growth Through Faith and Community
When the pandemic hit, like many small businesses, we faced uncertainty. But instead of closing our doors, we adapted, found new suppliers, and leaned into the support of our loyal customers. That resilience led to expansion. In 2023, we proudly opened a second location in Duluth, extending our reach and continuing to serve families in Georgia with dedication and love.
Today, Variedades Tere LLC stands as proof of what faith, perseverance, and community support can achieve.
